6o66y..... Hails from Kentucky!!! I'm 6o66y, soul member of PROGOAT...
2.When did you first discover black and death metal and who were the first bands that caught your attention?Who are some of the current bands that you have been listening to?
6o66y.... Well, I'd have to say, for myself it all started with bands like VENOM, MERCYFUL FATE, HELLHAMMER/CELTIC FROST, BATHORY, SODOM, PROFANATICA, SARCOFAGO BEHERIT BLASPHEMY, early MYSTIFIER! I'm a sucker for the old school black/death/thrash/doom. At one point in time, I listened to a lot of early DARKTHRONE, and BURZUM, but it quickly started to pale in comparison to what bands were doing from country's like Finland, Brazil, America, Greece, Canada, Mexico, etc... Norway didnt invent BM, they just had a handful of bands that were fucking killing it like I mentioned before, DARKTHRONE, BURZUM, MAYHEM had a good run of releases in the early days, and those records still stand the test of time!! I'm honestly just burnt out listening to those, and would rather bash out to MERCYFUL FATE, CELTIC FROST, BEHERIT, or BLASPHEMY, NECROMANTIA! As far as the more recent BM from the past 20 years. There is not very much to get excited about, except for a select few bands who've been absolutely killing it like PROCLAMATION/TEITANBLOOD from Spain, CRURIFRAGIUM, WEREGOAT from USA, BLACK WITCHERY from USA!! Anything from "Ross Bay Cult" is BM gold in my opinion!!!
3.When did you first get the idea to start Progoat?I believe you are the sole member did you plan to work alone or would you like to find more musicians to work with?
6o66y... With this particular project, yes, I had planned on doing everything myself, except maybe for guest/session musicians. Like on this latest release, I have a guest drummer on the title track song "Antichristus Mortem Cultus" who is actually no longer with us anymore. His name was Grim Jim Gibson, and he had passed away late last year from heart problems before I could finish the everything. I wish he could have heard the finished product, I'm sure he would have liked the end result. But, I dedicated the entire release to him, as seen on the inner sleeve.. R.I.P brother......
4.What do you feel is the easiest and hardest thing about being a solo project?
6o66y.... Of course not having to worry bout conflicting ideas or shit like that is kinda nice, but at the same, having to do absolutely everything yourself meaning rythim guitars, lead guitars, drums, vocals, bass, effects, artwork and illustrations.. doing everything myself wasn't as easy as I thought it would be, but it's way more satisfying to hear the finished meterial knowing that it was all performed by me. It's just hard to find time for pre-recording instruments sometimes. That is where it's nice having a band. But, I'm extremely happy with how this new release turned out!
5.Who would you say are Progoat's biggest influences?For the readers unfamilar with Progoat how would you best describe the bands musicial style?
6o66y.... PROGOAT sounds like a cross between early CELTIC FROST and BEHERIT.. I'm a slave to the riffing style of Tom Worrior on those early records!! But my biggest influences will always be MERCYFUL FATE, HELLHAMMER/CELTIC FROST, BEHERIT, BLASPHEMY, SARCOFAGO, PROFANATICA's Paul Ledney is probably my biggest drum influence by far!! But, you should get the overall idea of what to expect from PROGOAT based on these statements, and that is, raw primitive evil and ugly sounding old school satanic black/death metal!!
6.Antichristus Mortem Cultis is the second full length that was released through Blasphemous Creations Of Hell Rec and Plague Demon Rec when did you first discover these labels?
6o66y...... Actually, Chuck from Blasphemous Creations Of Hell Records sent me a message after I had made some recordings of what I was doing at the time, musicly.. I think we were friends on-line, because I had ordered a MORBOSIDAD shirt unknowingly aware it was from the Blasphemous Creations Of Hell Records webstore, because I found it threw ebay. Anyways, I forget exactly what the reasons were that Chuck and I started talking, but long story short. He was into the meterial I was working on, and sent me a message saying that he would like to release this stuff threw his label, and at the time, I had been checking around from label to label.. I didn't wanna hook up with a label that was releasing any poser shit, or something I would have nothing to do with. But, Chuck has been incredibly supportive of this project from day #1, and has been releasing badass BM albums, one after another!! He's gotta great ear for the kind of stuff we would consider real, or genuine BM and his release's threw this label all speak for itself I think! Plague Demon Records are great too! they have merged with BCOHR and doing badass!!
7.How long did it take you to write the music for the new release?How long does it usually take to complete one song?
6o66y.....it took a year, and just a little over 3 months making "Antichristus Mortem Cultus" regards to all the music, from each instrument, and where shit was recorded and how everything was recorded, is what took up most of the time, because I wanted to make sure this release was genuine, and authentic Satanic Black/Death without any doubt.. from recording vocals in graveyards, to black ceremony sessions, this release holds black magic secrets, and recorded Desecration!!! It was every bit as important to make sure an unsettling feeling falls on those unfaithful to what this music represents upon listening to this work!! A sort of strike or devestating blow to the face of Christianity!!! It's kinda hard to really say how long each song takes to complete, it could take from 3 days to 3 months ya know?!?
8.What are some subjects you write about in your lyrics?What usually comes first the music or the lyrics?
6o66y....... Antichristian subjects usually. Satanism, and demonic hellspeak, speaking tongues backward, and same kinds of subjects, spoken in latin, sometimes!! Ritual ceremony incantations are also spoken...
9.Besides the Antichristus Mortem Cultis release does the band have any other releases currently availible?Does the band have any other merchandise currently availible for the readers to purchase if yes what is availible and where can they purchase it?
6o66y..... Yes, the Blasphemous Creations Of Hell Records webstore and also the Plague Demon Records webstore I think. But there, u can find shirts, hoodies, and the first PROGOAT release "satanico sint obscura metallum" it's a good release, but not the same as "Antichristus Mortem Cultus" the 1st release is really more of a demo but are both available there!!
10.What does Black Metal mean to you?
6o66y..... My own personal relationship with Satan, and my own assault on the enemy's of what I am, and what I stand for!!! It's supposed to be not what it's supposed to be.. If that makes any sense. To stand alone, and to viciously fight when needed!! To drink blood and fuck her harder then she's ever been fucked before!! That's what it means to myself at least!! It's something only real Maniacs can know!!
11.Besides working in Progoat do you currently work with any other projects or bands? If yes please tell the readers a little about them?
6o66y...... No, PROGOAT is the only thing musicly I have going on at the moment!! Thanks for asking though! Hails.

6o66y...... Sure. Sometime in the future. Hopefully sooner then later, PROGOAT might have a live drummer coming into the mix, so be looking for that.. and a HUGE shout to some KY Black/Death metal bands like UNDER THE FOREST FLOOR, APOCRYPHAL REVELATION, BROOD IN BLACK, RTNGJHVH, and BLACK KNIFE!!
