Interview  with Anima  Damnata   done  by  Patrick

1. 1.Hails please introduce yourselves to the readers? And how are things in Poland these days?

We are ANIMA DAMNATA, Satanic Death Metal band dedicated to deliver the most uncompromised musical expression. Poland is a peaceful country famous from beautiful women, vodka and xenophobia, we are proud of it.

2. Anima Damnata was formed in 1996 when did you first decide to start this band? And who would you say are the bands biggest influences?

Being rebellious teenagers fascinated with black arts and extreme metal we were striving to become a vital part of one of the best Underground scenes in the world. Our aim was to mix the bestiality of bands like Blasphemy or Beherit with the US-style Death Metal embodied by Deicide, Acheron, Incantation, Suffocation etc. These bands were the biggest influence for us at that times.

3. In the early years of the band did you all trade demo's with other bands around the world? Where were some countries you mailed the demo's to?

The first demo of ANIMA DAMNATA was recorded in 1998 but we weren't satisfied with the result – the music was way too soft. After the few line-up changes the band recorded the second demo in 2001. At that time tape trading started to decay and we didn't trade much copies. Our goal was to record full-length album what we did the same year. Although it was released as a split with Throneum we consider the „Suicidal allegiance...” to be the first album of ANIMA DAMNATA

4. Were you all readers of fanzines back in the 90's if yes what were some of your favorite fanzines?

In the nineties we had plenty of fanzines in Poland. Many xeroed ones but also few  professionally color printed. As far as I remember the best ones were Vox Mortis, Infernal  Death, Equilibrium Of Noise and Heretyk. With the increasing  availability of international  fanzines we were also reaching for them. I still have some old copies of  Grimoire of  Exalted Deeds.

5. Nefarious Seed Grows To Bring Forth Supremacy Of The Beast is the bands newest release which is being released through Godz Ov War Prod. How did you and the band come in contact with this great label?

Actually „Nefarious Seed...” is released in cooperation between Godz Ov War and Malignant Voices. We know each other for some time and we just sent them our new tracks. They were immediately interested in releasing our new album.

6. How long did it take the band to write the music for this release does the whole band take part in the writing process or does one member usually write everything?

Music and lyrics for the „Nefarious Seed...” were actually ready around 2010. Due to some real life shit we had to delay the recording session, which took place between 2014-2016. We made merely some minor changes during the recording. The album was composed and recorded by the Master of depraved dreaming and Emperor of the Black Abyss the Great Lord Hziulquoigmzhah Cxaxukluth and Archangel of Evil Spells, Morbid Priest of Arcane Perfection vel Necrosodom.

7. Besides the upcoming release are any of the bands past releases still available to buy?Besides the physical releases does the band have any other merchandise available if yes what is available and where can the readers buy it?

It seems that there is limited availability of our previous albums. It will definitely change after the great success of "Nefarious Seed...". For the band's merchandise you need to check the official website and facebook. It will be announced there.

8. Does Anima Damnata play live very often or do you prefer to work in the studio? What have been some of the bands most memorable shows over the years? And who are some bands you have shared the stage with?

We are aiming to play quality shows. We are not scavengers looking for any opportunity to do some noise, not anymore. Since 2000 we played around 50 shows with bands like Infernal War, Throneum, Azarath, Witchmaster, Incantation, Inquisition, Napalm Death, Behemoth and more. The most memorable shows were played with Disgorge (Mex.) in 2001 as well as Glorior Belli in 2007 (we had a crazy afterparty that night).

9. Are their any shows or tours coming up in support of Nefarious Seed Grows To Bring Forth Supremacy Of The Beast? If yes where will the band be playing?

We are very seriously thinking about a small European tour. Fans in the Europe deserve to see us live. It would be great to meet with the fans from South and North America.

10. What does underground metal mean to you?

This is our lifestyle. Melting for more than 20 years in the Metal Underground stigmatized us permanently.

11. Anima Damnata comes out of Poland's death, black metal scene what is your opinion of the metal scene in Poland?

The Underground scene in Poland struggles with the same problems as elsewhere – the overwhelming mediocrity. There are so many bands which should never leave the basement (or I should say bedroom – more accurate nowadays). It became so affordable to record any shit and spread it over the internet. Besides this I still consider Polish Underground being among the best, the most original and extreme over the world.

12. Who are your all-time favorite Polish bands and are their any new bands you feel the readers should check out?

The best Polish band was Damnation. The newer bands being worth to check are: Kingdom, Stillborn, Rites of Daath, Cultes Des Ghoules and Non Opus Dei.

13. Besides playing in Anima Damnata do you or any of the members play with any other bands these days?

Members of ANIMA DAMNATA are involved in the following bands: Deus Mortem, Devilpriest, Mord and Stillborn.

14. I believe I read on the bands website that you all study Satanism and occult subjects  when did you become interested in studing these subjects?

It seems like you need to review your beliefs. Anyway we are cultivating and exploring  satanism and black arts for at least twenty years. This is how we live, think and breath.

15. Who are some Satanists and occultists you like to study?

We are still reading the works of Crowley and La Vey. Besides this we like the works of M.  Ford as well as those originating from Order Of Nine Angels.

16. Thank you for taking the time to fill this interview out do you all have any final words for the readers?

Squash the posers, despise the trends, support the extreme and relentless. Hail Satan.

Interview  with  Lihhamon  done  by  Patrick posted on 11-8-17

Interview with  Lihhamon  done  by  Patrick

1.Hails! How are things going in Germany these days?

At the moment we are working on our second album, writing new material and are rehearsing for new gigs.

2.Lihhamon was formed  in 2013. When did you all  get the  idea  to start this  band? And how did you choose Lihhamon as the name of the band, does it have a special meaning?

Lihhamon was formed by M. and A. as an Old School Death Metal band, the transformation into a War Metal band came more by coincidence and was never planned. We all got better and faster, so we slithered into this state we are in today.
Lihhamon is an old german word for corpse and M. got the idea from his studies of german language.

3.Who would you say are the bands biggest influences? And what is the current lineup  for  Lihhamon?

The current lineup of Lihhamon consists of three members. M. on the guitar and vocals, F. on the bass and vocals and last but not least A. behind the drums. This is the line up since we went the first time on stage.
One of the biggest influence of Lihhamon is Diocletian. The album Gesundrian had a huge impact on the development of Lihhamon from an ordinary Death Metal band into its current ravenous state. Besides Diocletian other Black/Death bands like Revenge, Conqueror or Truppensturm have a big influence on Lihhamon but also less known bands, like for example Damaar.

4.Nuclear War Now! will be re-releasing the debut full-length Doctrine on vinyl. How did the band come in contact with this legendary label?

After we finished recordings for drums and guitars/bass, F. sent a raw mix of the album to Angel from Proclamation/Sacrificio, to whom he had contact before. Angel decided to found the label Auto De Fe Productions to release the album thereon. Later that year we got into contact with Ryan Förster on the Nuclear War Now! Fest 2016 in Berlin and both told Yosuke about our music. M. got in contact with Yosuke after NWN! Fest and asked him if he would be interested to re-release the Doctrine on LP and Yosuke agreed.

5.How  long  did  it  take  the band to  write  the music  for the  debut release?Does  the whole  band  work  on the music or does one member  usually  write  everything?

It took us about one and a half year to write the material for Doctrine. Usually M. comes with riffs and ideas for songs which are put together during the rehearsals. The material of Doctrine was written by M. and A., because F. joined the band afterwards.

6.Besides  the  debut  release  does the band  have  any  other  merchandise  available  for the  readers? If  yes  what  is  available  and where  can the  readers  buy  it?

At the moment we have a black shirt with our Conquer.Cleave.Control-Triangle on it. Also we have some shirts left from our European Cleansing tour with Bloody Vengeance. Besides that we have a shaped logopatch. Last but not least we will start a pre-order campaign for another round of Conquer.Cleave.Control-Triangle hoodies or zippers. We have done that already in spring 2017 and we will do it again in winter. You can order all our merch at our Bandcamp, BigCartel page or via E-Mail (lihhamon@gmx.de).

7.Does  Lihhamon  get to play  live  very  often or do you  prefer to  work in  the  studio? What  have  been some  of the  bands most  memorable  shows  over the  years?Who  are some bands Lihhamon  have  shared  the  stage  with?

All songs are written to be performed live. We like to spread terror and dread on stage. Playing live is always a great experience and it is very important for Lihhamon. One of our greatest gigs was Moscow, the russians went totally crazy. Even some drunk russian girl came upstage and fell into the drumkit. Russians are very insane in front of the stage. But we also had great gigs on our tour with Bloody Vengeance or in Madrid.

8.Are their any tours or shows  coming up in  support  of  the  Doctrine re-release  if  yes  where  will  the  band be  playing?

So far only one gig in Poland is planned in February next year. We are not playing any support shows for the Doctrine re-release. It is not that easy to get gigs in Germany because it is flooded with bands.

9.What  does  underground  metal  mean  to  you  all?

The focus is on the music and not on earning money. Bring the band you like to your town, offer them a great location to play, have a couple of drinks with them, let them sleep at your place, be a good host, don't rip them off. That is underground no distance, no commerce, authentic people and no scum.

10.Lihhamon comes out of the German black ,death metal  scene  what  are  your  thoughts  of  the  German metal  scene?

Germany is a good place for bands, it is very easy to find musicians and it is very easy to record and release music. Many people are organizing concerts and festivals. In eastern Germany the scene is very well networked and a big forge for excellent bands, labels or festivals. The other side of the medal is that many shitty bands come up with their music as well. Although Germany has great bands like Truppensturm, Bloody Vengeance, Katharsis or Venenum, there is a big bunch of poser scum. Maybe it is a bit too easy here in Germany to found a new band, what explains why Germany is flooded with Metal bands. Only the true fanatics shall survive!

11.Who  are your  all-time  favorite  German bands  and  are  their  any  new  bands you  could recommend  to the readers?

Like we said before Truppensturm is a devastating band from Germany and their split with Thorybos is a brutal demonstration of Black/Death Metal how it should be. But there are many new bands like I I, Bloody Vengeance or Chrworsch, which know how to handle brutal music. Like we said before you should check out the bands from eastern Germany. The Label Into Endless Chaos has many great bands from Leipzig in its roster and every band is worth checking out.

12.Has  the  band   started  working  on  new  music  for  the  next  release  or  are you  just  concentrating  on  promoting  Doctrine?

We started working on new material right after the Doctrine recording. We conceived three songs for a split release with our allies from I I, which will be released in November via Ván Records. While recording the split the first ideas for our second album came up and we composed the material, which you can hear on our Iron Hands of Domination promo tape. This tape was thought out as a preview for our upcoming second album on which we are working right now. Half of the songs are finished and we are working hard that we can record the album next year.

13.Thank  you  for  taking  the  time to  fill  this  interview  out  do you have  any  final  words  for  the  readers?

Thanks for your support.

Interview  with  Kapala done  by  Patrick

1.Hails  please  introduce yourself  to  the readers and  when  did you  first  meet the other  members of the  band?

We are Kapala and we're here to annihilate, desecrate and subjugate the filth and terrorize audio waves and ear drums.  We met on 6th July, 2016 with only one objective. To crush the weak.

2.What  is  the  current  lineup  of  the band and who  would you  say  are  Kapala's biggest  influences?

We now have recruited the mighty Pulverizer recently to lay down inhuman bombardments. S did good work with the band during 'Infest Cesspool' but had to leave because of personal reasons. Kapala's biggest influences will always be Conqueror, Blasphemy, Goatpenis,  Black Witchery, Zygoatsis and various other such deadly legions.

3.Infest Cesspool  is the  band's debut Mcd  which  is  being  released  through Dunkelheit Prod.  how  did you  all come in contact  with this  great  label?

We sent the promo track 'Homosapiennihilation' to various labels and Dunkelheit got in touch with us first which marked the beginning of our current unholy alliance.

4.How long  did it  take the band to  write  the music for the  debut release? Does  the whole  band work on the music or does one member  usually  write  everything?

We work as an unit always and 'Infest Cesspool' took an year to complete.

5.Besides  the  debut Mcd Infest Cesspool  does the band  have any  other merchandise  available  for the  readers? If  yes  what  is  available  and where can the  readers  buy it?

Pre-orders for anti-scum armour have begun and buyers should contact the mighty Dunkelheit for them.

6.Kapala  comes out of  India's black, death metal scene  what is your  opinion  of the  scene  in  India?

Total fuckoff to the weak, scum infested "black metal" scene in India consisting of scarf wearing hipster opportunists, animal loving laveyan vegans, religious burzum rip-offs, cowardly facebook keyboard warriors, mediocre bands who talk about purity and 'true' black metal while playing with core and groove idiots, half-assed 'Vedic' imitators, Bollywood mallcore churchgoers and bands who brag about their stupid endorsements from guitar picks to strings. Total rejection of their retarded interpretation of the black/death art , pseudo-occultism and their peace-loving attitude. We hail only the bands of the true Kolkata Inner Order and a few others such as Dhwesha. Only Kolkata has kept the old school and true music alive in India and it is definitely the epicenter for such. Black/death is not for the comfort loving and complacent individuals. It's for real Sikfukks only!!

7.Who  are  some bands coming out  of India  you  could recommend to  the  readers?

Tetragrammacide, Jyotisavedanga, Banish and the yet unreleased Necrodeity

8.Besides  working  in  Kapala  do any of the band members  currently  play in  any  other  bands or  projects?

Some of us are involved in various unholy projects that are yet to be finalized.

9.What  does  underground  metal  mean  to  you  all?

Passion, honour and integrity form the foundation of the underground. It is simply not music it is a stand against the mass hypnosis and cultural degradation we get subjected to every single day. It is not about    people-pleasing ; not about licking boots, backstabbing or being 'famous'. Above all it is about Pride because in a world of compromise some do not.

10.Does  Kapala get  to  play  live  very  often  or do you  prefer to  work in  the  studio? Are there  any tours or  shows  coming up  in  support of the  debut Mcd?

Kapala is not limited to studio. Our live shows are limited since we play only if the lineup and promoters are worth it such as with and for our brothers of the Kolkata Inner Order. However in near future it is a possibility.

11.Has  the  band  started  working on  new music  for the  next  release? Have  you  thought  about  how many  songs  you  would like  to  have the  next  release?

We have begun working on newer songs for another release and all details will be revealed when our efforts bear fruit.

12.Thank  you  for  taking  the  time  to  fill  this  interview out  do you  have  any final words  for the  readers?

ANNIHILATE THE SCUM
