Obscure Relic--First Black Communion cd.Cassette{HelldProd Records}
Coming out of Brazil's black metal scene is a new band called Obscure Relic who will release their new EP in early August.First Black Communion contaains six tracks of traditional,aggressive and black metal.The guitars are played with fast and frenzied guitar patterns for the most part the guitarist plays with fast guitar passages.The guitarist does slow to a more calm and slower guitar style in a few of the tracks before going back to a more aggressive style and sound.
The drumming is done with crazed blast beats that are played with skill and well writing ability.The drums are played at a hyperspeed pace but the drummer does write some well performed passages.
The vocals are grim black metal screams that fit Obscure Relic's musical style perfectly.
If you are looking for a new band that plays traditional,furious black metal then be sure to pick up a copy of First Black Communion when it is released.
