1.Hails Vladia please introduce yourself to the readers?
Hello, I'm Vladia I'm in a solo band called KirthRoth.
2.When did you first discover Black Metal and what is it about this genre of music that you love so much?
It was in the mid 90s and yes Darkthrone was the first black metal band I heard of. The genre is characterized by its fast tempos, shrieking vocal style, heavily distorted guitars, and atmospheric elements, often with a raw and lo-fi production quality. Made me fall in love with it.
3.Who were the first bands and artists that you heard?Who are some of the current bands that have caught your attention?
Darkthrone, Bathory,Celtic frost to name a few. Asagraum,Akhlys and Mephorash.
4.When did you first get the idea to start Kirth Roth?Are you satisfied with how things have gone so far with the band?
It was 2019 and I was sick of bands in my local scene not wanting to play with a female. I am very satisfied with how my band has grown and developed.
5.How did you choose Kirth Roth as the name of the band and does the name have a special meaning? Who would you say are the bands biggest influences?For the readers who have never heard the band how would you best describe the musicial style?
So cliche to say but the name Kirth meaning (nine) and Roth meaning (circle) in Elvish from J.R.R Tolkien. So to me it means the 9th circle of hell the frozen empire where lucifer dewells. My biggest influences are Inquisition,Akhlys and Asagraum. Atmospheric in nature with Satanic over tones.
6.I believe you are the sole member when first starting out did you plan on working alone or would you like to add more members for a full line up?
I will remain alone.
7.What do you feel is the easiest and hardest part about being the only member in this band?
Easiest is writing the music and playing the instruments. The hardest is singing I hate singing if it was up to me all my music would be instrumental.
8.A Witches Last Hour is the latest full length release how long did it take to write the music for the new release?How long doesit usually take to complete one song?
A Witches Last Hour did not take me very long to write maybe a few months tops I am very passionate about the Salem Witch Trials so I was very inspired to write this album. Complete a song maybe a day or two.
9.Where do you draw inspiration for the lyrics and what are some subjects written about on the new release?
A Witches Last Hour was souly based on The Salem Witch Trials I did some research on my family tree and found out I am related to one of the innocence that was hung for practing witchcraft. So all the lyrics flowed out of me invisioning a witch being hanged and telling her story as she dies for no reason.
10.I know Kirth Roth has some previous releases are these still availible for the readers to purchase?Besides physical releases do you have any other merchandise currently availible for the readers to purchase?
Yes KirthRoth's previous releases can be purchased on bandcamp and through my labels which are Plague Demon Records and Blasphemous Creations of hell records. No other merch at this time.
11.Besides Kirth Roth do you currently work with any other solo projects or full bands?If yes please let the readers know a little about them?
No, KirthRoth is all I do.
12.Vladia you live in the great state of Oregon what is the black metal scene like there?
well in the day it was alive its slowly coming back in the northern parts.
13.Who are your all time favorite bands coming out of Oregon?Are their any new bands that you could recomend to the reader's?
The two that come to mind are Hulder and Bewitcher
14.What does Black Metal mean to you?
Black metal means to me..........Be your fucking self no matter what. Write it, Play it the way you feel and fuck everyone else.
15.When you need to take a break from working on new music or band business what do you like to do in your free time?
I work on my YouTube Channel Called Diabolica Diaries. A psychic (me) that sketches out entities I see while at haunted locations.
