 Serpents--The Brimstone Clergy cd{War Anthem Rec.}                                                                              This is my first encounter with Sweden's Serpents who play a brutal and violent form of black metal.The guitars are played with intense and razorsharp guitar chords that are done with alot of power and skil.The guitarist does slow to a calm mid paced range in a few of the tracks even adding some well played solo's and patterns before going to the more aggressive and chaotic guitars.The drumming is done with alot of skill and well written drum patterns.For most of the release the drums are hyperspeed blast beats that do slow to a more calm pace in a few of the songs.If you are a fan of early Marduk,Dark Funeral or Swedish black metal as a whole then defintly pick up The Brimstone Clergy when it is availible.                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Label Contacts
