Coming out of Milwaukee Wisconsin's blackend death metal scene is Prezir with their debut full length.As Rats Devour Lions is eight tracks of ferocious and brutal black death metal.The guitars are done with intensity and skill played with fast patterns.The guitarist does write and perform some memorable mid paced sections and even adds  some well played guitar solo's before going back to the faster pace.The vocals are a mix of raw black metal screams mixed with some deeper death metal growls  that are used throughout some of the songs.The drumming is done with hyper fast blast beats that do slow to a more calmer mid paced range.If you are familiar with the bands debut EP. that was released last year  then you know what to expect.If you are a new listener to Prezir  and like brutal and violent death,black metal then do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of As Rats Devour Lions when it is released this September.
