This is Namtar Axarcuth reporting from Philadelphia PA, today we will speak with one woman black metal artist Amanda Valderown from the awesome band KithRoth
1.) How did you get into black metal and at what age?
I was 15 and it was Darkthorne
2.)Where did you come up with the name KirthRoth and what is it’s meaning to you?
I am a satanist and kirthroth in elveish means ninth circle
3.)In what year was the band established?
2020
4.) I must admit I’m very impressed with all of your music, you are an amazing musician who knows each instrument very well, how long have you been playing each instrument you play and what was the first instrument you learned?
Well thank you for that. I have been playing guitar since I was 14 and drums since I was 19 years old and piano I just recently picked up.
5.) You also are an amazing artist, you actually made 2 of my own bands album covers, one which was released already on the Namtaru – Strange Tales Of Uptown R’leyh – Anthology 1 and the second will be for my full length this year, What gives you the inspiration to make such incredible artwork, and where can other bands/people reach you to get some of your phenomenal artwork done!
It was my pleasure to do those for you. I have always been inspired by Riddick and his art so I just made it my own. Plus my demons help with that.
6.)What is your scene like in Oregon?
The scene in Oregon is strong its just underground and you need to find it or know the people in it.
7.) What is your view on the Black metal scene these days,do you believe there are many posers out there trying to make a mockery of what was once one of the greatest scenes of all time, or do you see alot of great bands with the old Black metal flame still burning stong?
Yes I do absolutely
8.) What are some of your biggest influences musically?
Inquisition and Asagraum
9.) I have heard alot of nobodies talk about how women don't belong in black metal,which I have defended numerous times ,being that I have 3 women artists on my label, how does this make you feel and do you have a message for these poser pieces of shit?
