Interview  with  Lilita  vocals, all instruments  of Ieschure  done by  Patrick

1.Hails   Lilita   please  introduce  yourself  to  the  readers?

I am Lilita Arndt, a mastermind of the black metal formation Ieschure.

2.When  did you  become  interested in  writing and playing  music?

My interest for music began in my childhood, when I wrote lyrics and later tried to create simple melodies for them on acoustic guitar.

3.What  were  some first instruments  you  learned to play? Are you  self taught  or did you  take lessons when  first  starting out?

My first instrument was an acoustic guitar, then keyboards. I taught to play all by myself.

4.When  did you  first  get the idea  to  start  Ieschure? And  how did you  come up  with the name  Ieschure as the name of the band? Does it  have a  special meaning?

I took part in different projects as a singer. But I always wanted to create my own music with my own melodies, lyrics, singing and atmosphere. To create and experiment with melodies and vocals in that way in which I wanted. That is why I decided to start my own project Ieschure in which I can do all this.
The name “Ieschure” has a special meaning, but now I prefer it to be known only for me

5.The  Shadow is Ieschure  debut  full length which  will  be  released  through Iron BoneHead Productions. How  did you  come  in  contact  with this  legendary  label?

In the search for label for my debut album I found that Iron BoneHead Productions has a strong occult character and is focused on the bands with pure black metal sound. I decided to write him and was glad to get a positive reply about releasing my album. It’s an honor for me to be a part of this great label.

6. How  long  did it  take you  to  write  the music for  the debut  release?

It took 1,5 year. The idea appeared in the end of 2015. In 2016 I seriously start to write the album.

7.Besides the debut  LP The  Shadow  does  the band  have  any  other merchandise  available   for the  readers? If  yes  what  is  available  and where  can  the  readers  buy  the  merchandise?

I did not think about this yet. Maybe in future other merchandise will appear.

8.Lilita  I  believe you  are  the  sole member  of  the band. Would you like  to find new  musicians  to  work  with or  do you  prefer working  alone?

I’m not sure that it is possible now. But I am always open to change. If it would be a good way to embody my ideas I would try to work with other musicians.

9.If you  had  the  opportunity  to  work  with  any  musicians{past or present} who  would you  like  to  work  with?

I would like to work with people who are sincerely interested in music, who have the same ideas, without “star fever”.

10.Ieschure comes  out  of  the  Ukraine's  black metal  scene what  is your  opinion  of  Ukraine's  black  metal  scene?

In Ukraine there are a lot of bands who became very famous and many bands who are still in the deep underground. It is hard for me to compare myself with all this bands because I try to go my own way with my own opinion about music.

11.Who  are your  all-time  favorite  Ukraine  bands and  artists? Are  their  any  new  bands you  feel  the  readers  should  check  out?

I cannot say that I listen to Ukrainian bands all time. For me, it’s not important from which country the band is. Mostly I like the first wave of black metal bands, their sound and atmosphere. Besides black metal I like the old doom metal.

12. What  does  black  metal  mean  to you?

For me black metal is really a dark side of Art. It’s not just a music style. Mixture of music, theatre and philosophy, more irrational than other music styles, full of paradoxes, concentrating the strongest emotions, hatred and some perverted love to life. That is why it is perfect.

13.I  believe I  read  that you  are heavily into  occult  studies  when  did you  become  interested  in  studying  the occult?

All my life, since childhood I felt the presence of hidden forces in the world. Gradually they become more and more interesting to me. I think that the main thing that made me really interested in occultism was the knowing (realizing) that I will die some day.

14.Who  are  some  occultist  you  like to read and  study? Beside the occult  do you read and study any  other subjects?

I get a great inspiration from the works of Aleister Crowley, Eliphas Levi , Stanislas de Guaita, George Gurdjieff.
Of course I have many interests: my work as a designer, all forms of art, mythology, psychology, history, travelling and everything that can give me new knowledge about the world.

15.Besides  working  in  Ieschure  are you  currently  working  with  any other  projects or  bands?

At this moment I don’t work with other bands. Now I work on my dark ambient project.

16.Thank  you  for  taking  the time to  fill  this  interview  out  do you  have  any  final  comments  for the  readers?

Thanks you for the interesting interview and support.
